Golden Ocean Group has ordered three kamsarmax bulker newbuildings while offloading two ultramax bulkers that were built sevenyears ago.
The John Fredriksen-backed shipowner of 66 bulkers has ordered three 85,000-dwt eco kamsarmaxes from Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corp (DSIC), bringing its orderbook at the Chinese yard to 10 newbuildings.
The newbuildings are set to be delivered in the third quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, Golden Ocean said.
