A bulk carrier recently acquired from Costamare has been involved in a collision off Indonesia.
The 57,300-dwt Honwin (built 2009) and the barge Bina Marine 59 came together near Batam on 11 June, according to reports sourced from the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation.
The barge is reported to be safe, although it was said to be semi-submerged at one time, and the crew of eight have been evacuated.
