Shipping Corp of India (SCI) is in the process of buying its first very large gas carrier (VLGC) at a time when brokers say other Indian owners are also looking to buy large LPG ships.
SCI is understood to have tied up the Kawasaki-built, 82,000-cbm BW Vision (built 2001) from BW Gas for $36m. Some say the price is as low as $35m.
