Mount Street Capital has buoyed its growing container ship portfolio by acquiring a 16-year-old feeder container ship from Thai carrier Regional Container Lines (RCL).
The London investment manager is said to be paying about $30m to pick up the 1,858-teu Thana Bhum (built 2005), according to European brokers.
The price appears low as VesselsValue lists the ship as worth just under $40m.
