Idan Ofer-controlled Eastern Pacific Shipping has ordered up to 10 feeder container ship newbuildings that will bring its boxship orderbook to 35 vessels including options.
The diversified shipping company has struck a deal with Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China for six firm 2,900-teu vessels, with options for four additional ships, bringing the order’s total value to more than $400m.
