Tanker rates cooled off to end the week with uncertainty abound as Russia's war with Ukraine rages on.
The Baltic Dirty Tanker Index on Friday slipped 23 points to 1,474 and the Baltic Clean Tanker Index 2 points to 989 after surging for five straight days after Russian troops poured into Ukraine on 24 February.
Gibson Shipbrokers was unable to say on Friday whether the dip was a one-off or the market was finding a sense of normalcy after a spate of sanctions and a raft of other questions.
