A mystery project for a series of aframax newbuildings worth more than $560m is competing with high-priced container ships for limited shipyards slots.
Shipbuilding sources said yards in South Korea and China have been asked to quote for up to 10 aframax tankers under a new requirement dubbed Project Core.
