Eastern Pacific Shipping has invested in nine tech start-up companies in what it has described as its commitment to using a green and technology-driven approach to change the maritime industry.

The addition of these nine companies to the Singapore-based shipping giant’s investment portfolio brings to 27 the number of maritime start-ups it has invested in to date.

Seven of the start-ups are in the current batch of participants in the Eastern Pacific Accelerator Powered by Techstars mentorship-based programme the company runs in partnership with US seed accelerator Techstars.
