NYK Line has signed a comprehensive agreement to develop shipping services to a huge new offshore renewable energy project.
The tie-up centres on providing shipping and port-related services to offshore wind farms in Akita Prefecture, north-western Japan. It includes training, tourism and environmental services.
The move follows the establishment of a Japanese law to encourage the development of offshore renewable projects as part of a national decarbonisation drive.
