Euronav chief executive Hugo De Stoop has explained why smaller VLCC operators are “pulling their pants down” with low rate offers and harming market prospects for the sector.
The boss told a conference call with analysts that the list of ships that can potentially carry a cargo is very long.
But only the big owners have the scale to determine whether a vessel is really in the right position to do the business, he added.
