CSSC Leasing returns to Hudong-Zhonghua for LNG newbuilding

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has started the New Year with an order for an LNG newbuilding.

The Shanghai shipyard has secured a contract with CSSC Leasing (Hong Kong) to build one 174,000-cbm LNG carrier that will be fitted with GTT's NO96 cargo containment system.

A Hudong-Zhonghua official confirmed the order to TradeWinds but did not disclose the cost of the vessel, saying only that it is scheduled for delivery in early 2024.
