Singapore-based tonnage provider OM Maritime is planning an estimated $480m order for up to four dual-fuel 8,000-teu vessels.
The fast-growing boxship owner is in talks with South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries about an order for two firm vessels and two optional ships.
Company director Subhangshu Dutt expects the discussions will end with a letter of intent being signed for the vessels to be delivered in early 2024.
