Japanese leading shipping companies want to make decarbonisation a collaborative effort, and insist they should not be left alone to carry the can of decarbonising maritime transport.
Speaking at TradeWinds Shipowners Forum 2021, leading industry executives said that they are not being adequately supported in their decarbonisation efforts by shippers, and other elements in the logistics chain.
"Climate change is our top priority to satisfy stakeholders," said Mitsui OSK Lines senior managing executive officer Toshiaki Tanaka.
