Middle East LNG-producing giant Qatar has firmed up its first LNG newbuilding contracts with two South Korean shipbuilders under its huge 151-berth reservation agreements to provide shipping for its planned export expansion.
Newly renamed QatarEnergy — formerly Qatar Petroleum — has booked four vessels with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and two at Samsung Heavy Industries.
