Golar LNG has won a joint development agreement to work on the Delfin LNG project in the US.
It said the deal with Delfin Midstream will involve financing, marketing, construction, development and operation.
The development off the coast of Cameron Parish in Louisiana is the first and only permitted floating LNG (FLNG) export project in the US, Golar said.
Golar will provide up to four FLNG units to produce up to 13m tonnes of LNG per year from 2021 or 2022.
