World Tankers Management has denied that crew aboard one of its vessels were involved in a Cambodian oil heist following the ship's detention by Indonesian authorities last month.
Instead of sneaking into Indonesian waters after making off with the cargo, as reports on Wednesday suggested, the Singaporean manager said the 47,100-dwt Strovolos (built 1999) was stuck with an overdue crew and dwindling fuel when its former charterer defaulted.
