A methanol industry group is pushing for a "well-to-wake" approach in accounting for shipping emissions.
The Methanol Institute said that factoring in a fuel's entire life cycle would foster innovation and spread the burden of decarbonisation across the industry, rather than placing it on the shoulders of shipowners alone.
