Stockholm-based Green City Ferries (GCF) has revealed plans to build a high-speed emission-free catamaran to serve the Swedish city.
GCF has partnered vessel design companies Teknicraft Design of New Zealand and Italy’s Studio Sculli to design a battery and hydrogen fuel cell-propelled vessel capable of carrying up to 150 passengers at 30-knot speeds.
The company believes the emission-free catamaran will cost less to operate than diesel-fuelled fast ferries.
