CMA CGM has become the latest company pulled into US courts for allegedly illegal dealings with Cuba.
The French liner operator is also accused of cutting a deal with a sanctioned firm.
The Blanco Rosell family — led by 91-year-old Odette Blanco De Fernandez and behind three other lawsuits against shipping companies — accused CMA CGM and its US subsidiary of wrongly calling on Cuban ports in violation of the Helms-Burton Act in a lawsuit filed on 30 July.
