Bocimar, the dry division of Belgian shipowner Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB), is poised to order newcastlemax bulker newbuildings at a state-owned Chinese yard.
Broking sources said Bocimar is in discussions with Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry for two 210,000-dwt ships to be delivered in 2023.
Shipbuilding sources said the newcastlemax bulkers that Bocimar is planning to order will be powered by conventional marine fuels.
