Norway's Simon Mokster Shipping has clinched a first wind farm service operation vessel (SOV) contract with domestic energy giant Equinor.
The shipowner will deploy its 4,000-dwt multipurpose support vessel Stril Server (built 2014) for work on the Hywind Tampen project in the Norwegian North Sea.
The deal lasts 150 days with options from the second quarter of 2022.
