Japan’s Onomichi Dockyard is reported to be lining up a series of bulker orders from a number of shipowners including Taiwan’s Wisdom Marine Group.
The Hiroshima-based shipyard has more recently been associated with building handysize and MR product tankers but appears to have turned its focus to the more active market for bulker newbuildings.
Japanese media reported the yard is tying up an order for two 40,000-dwt bulk carriers from handysize bulker specialist Wisdom Marine.
