Does South Africa hold an untapped opportunity to supply the global shipping industry with zero carbon fuels?
A report released by the Getting to Zero Coalition Partnership on Thursday claimed that the country most certainly does.
The study, which was conducted by engineering firm Ricardo and the Environmental Defense Fund, said the country’s vast supplies of hydrogen and ammonia would allow for the production of green hydrogen-derived fuels.
