MNG Maritime boss Mark Gray fears the new Delta variant of Covid-19 is set to "rip through" the shipping industry.
The floating armoury vessel owner is grappling with cases of the mutation, which first emerged in India, on its two ships in the Gulf of Oman and Red Sea.
Before June, the company had only had eight positive cases on board its vessels.
