A 41-year-old Iranian navy ship sank on Wednesday after a blaze in the Gulf of Oman, Reuters reported.
The 19,000-gt Kharg (built 1980) was Iran's biggest warship by tonnage and served as an auxiliary oil replacement vessel.
No victims were reported in the incident as the crew was safely rescued in time, Reuters said, citing Iranian media reports.
The Kharg is said to have been on a training mission when a fire broke out aboard at 2.25am
