Ship manager and owner STX Marine Service has inked its debut newbuilding deal, contracting two MR tankers worth $73m in total at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.
Industry sources said the Busan-based company is behind an order for two 50,000-dwt product carriers announced by HMD parent Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co (KSOE) on Monday.
The outfit is said to be paying about $36.5m
