Jones Act waiver considered as Colonial Pipeline shutdown drags on

The US is weighing the possibility of a Jones Act waiver in response to the Colonial Pipeline shutdown.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the US Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration said it had initiated a survey of Jones Act-qualified vessels in an effort to determine what assets are available to carry petroleum products from US Gulf Coast to the east coast.
