Vietnam is proposing criminal charges against three former executives in an embezzlement case.
The ministry of public security said the trio plus another man siphoned off nearly $16m from the state shipbuilder between 2006 and 2008.
They are Tran Van Liem, former CEO of Vinashin Ocean Shipping (Vinashinlines), Giang Kim Dat, its former sales manager, and Tran Van Khuong, ex-chief accountant.
Dat’s father, Giang Van Hien, 66, also faces charges of money laundering.
