The containership companies’ Alaska Maritime Employers Association (AMEA) is pursuing the litigation in the US states’ federal court against the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU).
Dutch Harbor is located in Unalaska, the largest city in the Aleutian Island chain with a population of nearly 4,400 people. It is best known as a fishing port that is prominently featured in the Discovery Channel show ‘Deadliest Catch’.
