The shipowner behind a series of secondhand purchases of veteran VLCCs has emerged and, contrary to reports, it is not CSSC Shipping but CS Shipping, a lesser-known branch of China’s southern shipyard group, China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC).
TradeWinds understands that after two recent or impending VLCC purchases that bring its fleet to five storage vessels, CS Shipping plans no further acquisitions for the present year.
