Exmar ends an agreement to supply a floating LNG unit to a proposed liquefaction project off Colombia as the economics don’t pan out for the producer.

Exmar and Pacific Exploration and Production (PEP), formerly known as Pacific Rubiales Energy, entered a 15-year deal in 2012 to use the FLNG unit in PEP’s proposed Caribbean LNG project.

The vessel, which is to be delivered from Wison shipyard in the second quarter, has liquefaction capacity of 500,000 tonnes per annum.
