South Korean shipbuilder DSME has delivered the world’s first M-type electronically controlled, gas-injection (ME-GI) LNG carrier newbuilding.
Those following Teekay LNG’s 173,400-cbm Creole Spirit report that the ship has been handed over to its owner and left the shipyard.
One says the ship, which is fixed on mid-term charter to upcoming US LNG exporter Cheniere Energy, is expected to sail for the US in the near future.
