Kanfer founder and managing partner Stig Anders Hagen, who remained tight-lipped on some details when TradeWinds first reported on the plan back in February, says the idea is based on a design using articulated tug barges (ATBs).
Hagen says Kanfer now has “several” letters of intent (LOIs) related to projects on “three continents”. He adds that the company also has a shareholder in the form of an unnamed North American investor in the shipping industry.
