Maersk Broker has set its sights on strengthening its dry cargo business and growth of its financial services offering.
The brokerage, owned privately by Ane Maersk Mc-Kinney Uggla and her sisters, came close to linking with Lightship Chartering on the dry cargo side before the effort was abandoned in June.
Claes Devantier, senior vice-president at Maersk Broker, still believes the Lightship tie-up was a good idea and says the broker’s appetite for expansion in the dry cargo arena remains intact.
