Brazil’s Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) today named the Taiwan-based shipowner as facing charges along with former Petrobras director Jorge Zelada, former Petrobras international manager Eduardo Musa and three lobbyists.
All were swept up in Operation Carwash, the investigation into bribes called “propinas”, the Portuguese word for tips or gratuities, allegedly paid to secure contracts with Petrobras, the state-owned oil giant.
