Christina Alves, managing director of Portline Bulk, said: "It is true that we looked at selling them a year ago, when the market was strong. But today we the fallen prices we would be stupid to be looking for disposals of the modern ships.”
Three of the ships mentioned as sales candidates were thee Cosco Zhoushan built 56,000-dwt Port Canton; Port Dalian and Port Hainan (all built 2012) that possibly could achieve some $20m each in today's market, but a sale is ruled out by Alves.
