The 37,430-dwt bulk carrier Carlota Bolten (built 2015) left Yangzhou Guoyo Shipbuilding of China laden with steel products and is currently on its maiden voyage to the US Gulf.
It became the fifteenth vessel of the handysize pool, which had the ambition to reach up to 30 vessels when initially launched.
But the German owner said the pool manager’s expectations with regard to the performance of the vessels have been met and the results are excellent compared to the difficult market environment.
