China’s Hebei Ocean Shipping (Hosco) appears to have fallen foul of uncertainty in the demolition market.
Earlier this month, Hosco sold the 307,000-dwt tanker Hebei Mountain (built 1995) to Pakistan for $526 per ldt, or $21.9m, but a deal at this level does not appear to have materialised.
The VLCC is now said to have been concluded at just $503 per ldt, or $20.6m,
