When one hears the name Fotis Giannakoulis, they may be forgiven for assuming the fellow was born into shipping like so many of his countrymen.
“I have to accept that it helped me when I first joined Fortis [Bank],” Giannakoulis told TradeWinds. “Everyone assumed I knew about shipping because I was Greek.”
In fact, nothing could be further from the truth.
“I had no relationship with shipping,” he said.
