The Global Shippers’ Forum (GSF) has thrown its weight behind the repeal of block exemption regulations (BERs) granted to liner consortia.
A review by Brussels is considering the repeal of Consortia Regulation No 906/2009, which expires on 25 April 2015. That law enables consortia — which co-operate on services but compete on price — to operate on services to Europe so long as their market share does not exceed 30%.
