Greek shipowner George Economou has taken delivery of his first LNG carrier.
Economou’s Cardiff Marine now lists the 149,172-cbm Fuji LNG (built 2004) under its fleet after clearing the $182.5 million payment for the ship this week.
The industry newcomer, which is also sitting on four uncommitted LNG newbuildings, sealed a deal late last year to buy the former Muscat LNG from joint owners Oman Shipping Company and Mitsui OSK Lines.
