A little-known Istanbul-based company has snapped up six early-1990s-built handymax bulkers from Greece’s Fairsky Shipping as owner Costas Fostiropoulos concentrates his attention on the tanker arm of his group.
Ceren Denizcilik has reportedly paid between $20m and $21m en bloc for the 42,300-dwt Joalmi, Michalis F and Nena F (all built 1990) and Irini F, Almi, John F (all built 1991), all of which were built at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
