One year after Spanish shipbuilder Factoria de Naval Marin filed for bankruptcy, Germany’s Hansa Treuhand says it is still waiting to discover whether a cruiseship will be completed.
The Hamburg-based company has demanded reimbursement of down payments, via bank guarantees, on the Sea Cloud Hussar, the largest-ever three-mast passenger sailing ship.
It was on 19 June 2010 that Factoria de Naval Marin filed for bankruptcy, halting construction work on the newbuilding.
