PGC’s disposal of oldest vessel is a one-off

PGC is said to have received $4.3m for the 6,520-cbm LPG carrier PGC Darko King (built 1997), as TradeWinds reported last week.

The deal caused speculation that the Athens-based company might also be eyeing a sale of its next-oldest ship, the 6,500-cbm LPG Strident Force (built 1999). Such a move seemed plausible in light of the fact that PGC is due to start taking delivery of four small LPG carrier newbuildings this year.
