UK shipbuilder Cammell Laird has been fined after a worker’s fingers were dragged into a machine.
Paul Williams’ digits “burst open” during the accident involving the cleaning of a lathe, Liverpool magistrates court was told, according to the Liverpool Echo daily.
The yard must pay £400,000 ($504,000) after pleading guilty to breaching a general duty to its employees under health and safety legislation.
