The Nantong COSCO KHI Engineering Co (Nacks)-built Port Belavista, which was delivered in February, fetched a fairly low price of $18.7m, according to sources.
The deal includes a time charter to Pacific Basin at $5,700 per day until March or May next year.
Portline is believed to have paid $28m for the ship in 2014.
