Indian investment group Siva Ventures has bought Norwegian tanker and bulker owner JB Ugland Shipping (JBUS) for $300m.
The ambitious company, led by businessman S Sivasankaran, will get its hands on 46 owned and chartered vessels.
Owner Johan Benad Ugland had a 100% stake in JBUS through his JB Ugland Holding. He said in a statement: “I am very proud of having developed a company attracting interest from a global player such as Siva Ventures.
