Newport, a low-profile Greek owner of Japanese-built bulkers, has taken delivery of the biggest ship in its fleet.

The 83,000-dwt Orange Truth (built 2006) has joined the Piraeus-based company under its new name, Ponente. George Hatzis-led Newport agreed to buy the Tadotsu Tsuneishi-built vessel in April this year for $13.75m, in a deal arranged by Yannis Roussos of Oino Shipbrokers.
