Woodside is taking a more cautious approach to the expansion of its Pluto LNG project in Western Australia.



The operator previously signalled it would place orders for long-lead items by mid-2011 for a second liquefaction train if the Martin and Xeres exploration wells were successful but it has now changed its mind.



Both prospects were exploration successes. However, Woodside said in its latest quarterly production report that no decision has been reached on ordering the long-lead items.
