Tokyo Electric Power Company boosted year-on-year LNG purchases by 21% in June.
The Japanese utility said it bought 1.9 million tonnes in the month compared with 1.6 million a year earlier. However, this represents a drop of 4% on May’s purchases.
Meanwhile, Tepco upped its LNG usage for power generation by 49,000 tonnes between May and June this year and by 25.8%
